Accord car with the registration PLATEAU AL 928 BSA, grey colour stir panic in Mowo community in Badagry Local government are of Lagos State.
According to a youth representative in the community, Mr. Samuel Akanbi, the car has been parked at old Lagos road, Mowo for the past one week. Efforts to identify the owner of the car has proved futile.
Some of the resident panic that the vehicle might be a stolen one. Despite that, the presence of the vehicle without any identified owner calls for concern.
Considering the spate of insecurity in the nation, and the announcement of reporting any suspicious abandoned vehicle, the youths of the community had gone to the nearest police post to make official report of the suspected car; amazingly, the police officers on duty at Mowo Police post ridiculous demanded for N20 to buy pen before making the entry of the community complaints. The police officers further instructed the youths representatives who came to make the report that the the police was ill-equiped with facility to tow the vehicle. As a result, the polices officers urged the community to find means of towing the car to their station. This option the community representative vehemently refuted, considering the legal implication
The said vehicle is still at where it has been parked as at the time of this report.
